Just got my 6.0 studded and new head gaskets and new oil cooler. The truck is missing it seems like and I can’t quite figure it out. Does it need to just be ran for a bit, or could there be air in the motor?
"Got" it done as in a shop did it? Take it back and make them fix it.
It does take a bit to purge the HPO system of air, but a 20 minute drive will pretty much to it. A broken or loose injector connector on the FICM harness can do it, a broken or loose connector on the FICM can do it. Pretty much a ton of stuff if the only symptom is "missing" and there's no hard data. Could be as bad as a streched or over-torque injector clamp causing an injector to malfunction. Did they replace any of them?

i have a good mechanic that I know of that is doing all the work. We got the studs and gaskets put on and an Egr delete and brand new oem oil cooler. He’s trying to figure out why it’s idling rough and missing today. It’s also throwing a p0275 code that says cylinder 5
That code is related typically to an injector.. contribution/balance code.
Id start by checking your electrical connections.. if not then it may be something internal related to the injector itself.
the guy checked all electrical connections and didn’t see a problem. Could it be a bad injector? The guys thinking it could be a push rod bent or rocker arm broken also, is that possible? It just idles rough And we can’t seem to find the problem but he’s still looking into it
Typical sign of a valve-train issue is a noticeable thumping sound coming from your air intake. You can take your intake filter off and be able to hear for it.. "thump thump thump thump"
My guess is you either have a faulty injector or something related to the injector is not sealing properly causing it to malfunction.
