my truck has a very sloppy shifter (3 speed manual) Anyone know if there’s a kit that replaces the rubber and whatever else is needed in order to stiffen up the shift pattern?
I know that the pin that holds the handle to the collar wears out, but I also have play in the shift collar (a lot)

The 7228 pot metal shift collar contains an internal bridge that connects it to the 7212 shift tube. Over time, the bridge begins to crack, eventually breaks off.
When this occurs, the trans can no longer be shifted, as the collar is no longer connected to the tube.
Notice the 7341 nylon bushings in the 7302/7303 selector levers (also shown in lower pic). These crack apart/disintegrate causing sloppy shifting.
Ok so now I know what pieces I need, anyone know of reproduction parts? I know ND has access to NOS sources but I’m not much a fan of NOS prices especially when my truck is pretty much the poster child for NAPA products and no where close to original lol. Unless the NOS parts are common...

Which parts do you want? The nylon selector lever bushings are available from Ford and auto parts stores.
The 3 M/T shift collar is obsolete, but it's the same 1961/77 F100/250, 1966/77 Bronco and misc. 1960/65 cars.
At one time, NAPA had this collar, but there's quite a few available NOS
The collar (D5TZ-7228-B replaced C0DZ-7228-B) may have been repro'd, check with Carpenter and etc.
