curious what did they say about this camera, other than it needs to be replaced. Was it the lense I’m assuming.

I actually cleaned it before taking the picture so it would look it's best. This is the image quality I have had since the truck was new. I haven't read many complaints about the 2018 trucks, so I wonder if Ford has improved the quality since mine was built.

The camera on my 2014 Escape is much clearer.

mine ( pictured above ) seems very similar however the sun was into the camera around that time.

He (the service manager) just said that the tech agreed with me that the front camera was blurred compared to the other cameras. He also said that they cleaned all the camera lens and that the front one was still blurred.

My monitor just shows white

My motorhome is much older than your truck though, I'm sure with mine is the wiring in the camera monitor only shows White.

So I went out cleaned All lenses and reviewed all camera views. Including the trailer (aux) view. All seem about the same. What I did notice is that there is excellent quality at ~2-6”. And the degradation is quite rapid where the quality is horrible at 50’. Of note I think the night view is better then my 16’ F-150.

One thing I had to do was paint an orange stripe down my Gooseneck adapter so I could line up my 5er without wondering where that gooseneck was. This is mainly because I’ve got the black sprayed in bed liner

good idea.. I've got the factory spray in as well. and can't see my black gooseneck hitches for *****. I've gotten decent at using the rest of the trailer body to relate to where the hitch is.

I had the tailgate camera replaced and it was better, but it seems to be getting bad again. None of the cameras on the truck are anywhere near the quality of the rear camera on our 2018 Subaru Outback. The Subaru camera is much clearer. I keep wiping the lenses but it doesn’t help.

Maybe someone will come up with an aftermarket solution. I sure would jump on an alternative option. These cameras are the worst I have ever seen.

Brake Light Camera Replaced

First service visit 2019 F350...fuzzy brake light camera - replacement ordered (camera) for install next week. Is there anything else that I should be looking for? Really pleased with the quality of the others (ultimate tow package). What aux camera did you go with for your trailer if you don't mind...will be adding a slide in camper eventually.

Only disappointment is no fog lights (XL bumper doesn't have the cut outs) so having to do some research...I've seached and found a few links that I'm following.

I literally bought this 360camera system based off how great my neighbors 2014 F-150 rear camera looked. That thing is crystal clear. My 2019- not so much. The worst being the one I need to back in my truck camper (CHMSL). That looks like I recorded the image on a VCR tape thats been used too many times, and then tried to play back... Its out of focus like saskowner's

I guess ill try to see if the dealership can replace it
