can a sync 3 from a mustang be swapped into a 2016 F150 ?

What does the 2016 F150 that you mentioned have in it now.

I was setting up Ford Pass for my 2018 F150, and I recall that during the setup, it showed SYNC 3 is only with the large screens, not the 4 inch. You might want to check.
