CEL and P0299 no performance issues
Hey guys new poster here longtime reader. I'm pulling my hair out with my 2006 F350 and the CEL and P0299 code. I have 164700 miles on my truck and it's been popping the CEL and code for the last month. I haven't noticed and performance degradation though. I've pulled and cleaned the EBP sensor and tube, wasn't really too bad. Checked MAP sensor and tube no leaks. New CAC hoses top and bottom so no issues there.ICP seems ok. Last thing I figure is to pull the turbo and clean it. I have reset the code and it stays off for about 30 to 50 miles then pops on. I had the wrench light come on once when I really romped on it to get onto the highway but other that no issues. I can hear the turbo spool up and down when I start it. I have heard the waste gate dump it loudly when I romp it then back off quickly but that's normal. I gotta do a road trip to pickup a horse trailer but don't want to drive 2000 miles with a potential turbo disaster looming. Any suggestions would be great. I'm surprised the turbo would be that dirty at the low miles but it must be. Thanks for any ideas.
