hey guys ..... im new to the forums ! my reason for being here is because i just picked up a 98 f150 4.0l
i want to put a pi intake on my 4.6 and would like to know if anyone has had this exsperience
and if its possible to put the pi intake on the 4.6 f150 version of the 4.6 . please enlighten me with what
you know ? thanks

If you have the pi intake, can you get the pi heads? If so you will boost the power output of the motor. The pi heads will increase the compression ratio by a full point. Also if you do swap the heads take the coolant tube from under the pi manifold as it is longer and sets deeper in the valley and will clear the pi manifold. You may have to extend some wiring for the temp sensor. Also don’t reuse the head bolts as they are torque to yeild and can’t be reused.

Yes, you can get tunes for it. They will have to be custom tunes from a reputable tuner. 5Star comes to mind, Troyer was another but I think he is no longer in business. I am sure there are other but I see 5Star’s name mentioned on a couple other forums that i am on.. 5 Star News - 5 Star Tuning
