Staining doors
Hi,
Looking for some tips. I'm slowly replacing my interior doors, and I'm having some issues.
For several reasons, I'm staining them in the garage -- I've been taking the door slab off and staining horizontally. This leads to some problems.
- Door frame is crap particle board stapled at the top. I've had to glue a couple back together. I put some braces on one side (2x2s screwed through the frame on one side), but I have to take them off when I'm staining that side.
- A little stain gets on the opposite side of the door -- and I'm being careful. Isn't terrible, but I'd prefer that it didn't.
How do you guys do it?
