Moonroof Kaput

Moonroof is all repaired now. They replaced the broken parts and everything was covered under warranty. In fact, the dealer never even hinted that it was not covered. Huge shout out to Canby Fordy in Canby, Oregon. They did everything they said they would do when it was scheduled and it took about exactly as long as they said it would. I will be returning to this dealer for future service!

Been thinking about opening mine and see if it breaks. I just don't want it to open someday down the road out of warranty then be stuck with the entire bill. I've had my truck 12 months with 4,300 miles so they better cover anything if needed. I still love having it regardless of any issues.

Had mine for approx. 10 months and 10k miles and opened my panoramic roof just yesterday. Probably have had it open less than 10 times, but love it and could not imagine not having it. That said I have had them on Kia Sorento, Ford Explorer, 15 F150, and wife has it on her Lincoln MKC. Never had an issue so far.
Sorry to hear of your misfortune and glad they were able to repair properly.

Mine broke last fall same issue the rail on one side snapped. They replaced it under warranty. Hopefully the use better parts or you would think it could happen again. Moon-roof is awesome and its one of the reason I ordered the truck with the Lariat Ultimate package. Just hope ford is tired of the cost for all the warranty work they are having to do.

Ahhhh see here folks are learning about Ford moon roofs! I had a 2011 Raptor that broke the 2nd time I opened it. Took me 52k before I ever even thought about opening it. Cost $1600.00 for an assembly would not shut and seal. My F250 had it on the truck otherwise, you cannot run fast enough to give me one. Not just Ford any maker..

I rented a car this past weekend with a whole sun/moon roof thing and I just do not see the appeal. If I want the sun on the top of my head I got me jeep, don't need it in a more civilized ride.
I have a Platinum, and no moon roof.....

^^^^^^^^ I don’t like moon/sun roofs. That’s why when I bought my 2017 F350 I only had Lariat Value pkg. now that you can get the Ultimate pkg without moon roof I ordered a 2019 with Ultimate and Tow Tech pkgs. I pretty much loaded the 2019 Lariat up with everything except moon roof, chrome pkg and engine block heaters. I live in Florida. I did order quick cabin heat option for the very few times I used cabin heaters on “cold” mornings.
I wanted the following features that I don’t have on my 2017 F350 Lariat Value pkg. I wanted keyless entry with push button start, adaptive cruise, adaptive steering and Blind Spot monitor.. The rain sense wipers, Auto high beams and lane keep alert are nice also.
