I'm trying to figure out how this antenna (factory maybe) is removed. After searching the forum nobody has any pictures that show step by step how the antenna comes apart.

It's so simple, a cave man can do it.
Pop the outside cover off, then you'll see the four screws that retain the antenna. If you are replacing the antenna, pull the cable from the radio, then tie a long piece of string to it, then remove the antenna.
Tie the string to the new antenna cable, then pull the string from inside the cab. If you don't use the string, feeding the cable thru the hole in the cowl panel can be a real b!tch!
Note: You can buy an antenna mast from auto parts stores, it attaches to the stub of the broken antenna w/a set screw.
It was common in the '70s for dealerships to install radios locally depending on what the customer wanted. The antennas from the factory normally had the screwed-down based ND pictured. Aftermarket antennas often had two rotating arms below the fender - you ran the antenna wire down through the fender and then pushed the antenna base with those rotating arms vertically through the antenna hole - they would then deploy horizontally and you would snug the retainer nut down at the base of the antenna.
