I replaced all the brakes on the mom in-laws SUV today!! Her truck is officially road worthy for the trip to Wisconsin next weekend. I did her AC like weeks ago and now brakes. I can finally catch a break for a while since she will be gone for the summer. It was so hot out but I had to hurry and finish up before the storm came.
I not doing anything real exciting, no deadlines, no boss, no rush. Did spend a few hours on the Mazda. The ignition rotor is different from any I have seen it has 3 flats instead of a slot, so you get a 1 and 3 chance of getting it right. Gotnthe coolling fab working . It got a rough idle and occasional backfire. I got to clean the MAF, IAC, and EGR(possible delete). Still have a few electrical issues. Blower fan not working, couple of lights, low beam only(switch)
I mowed my property, girl and I sort of got into it as she made plans for me without consulting me about what I had to do on the prioirty list today. Next weekend or something this week I have to start the suspension work on my other truck. But today, my non daily might become my daily soon. Its a bad bitch
The wife cooked steak and shrimp for me on Friday and then BBQ'd all my favorites on Sunday. She got me and little man some shirts, His says like father, mine says like son!! I got me a great wife that's for sure. I did the normal weekend chores, clean pool, mow grass, etc, etc.I filled the hot tub and got it going again, It makes my back feel so much better after working around the property.
New 745 transmission is going in at work.I mowed some more around the property after work then we all went swimming. The water temp was perfect and little man did not want to get out or go in the house.
Hump day is here!!
I hope to have the cab back on the 745 by lunch and doing calibration tests after lunch. This thing has fought me the whole way. Ordered a new vent cover for the motorhome last night, One is broken on the very top but you can't see it standing on the ground. That should finish up everything on the roof that the PO broke.
Yesterday little man woke up in the morning and my wife says he was calling dada, dada. She said you could see the disappointment in his face when she told him I was at work. He is also becoming quite the little fish, as soon as I walked in the door from work he said, swimming, swimming. He loves the pool and the hot tub.Now I just have to teach him to swim.
TGIF !!
Looks good!! We have a star on our front gate, I was born in Texas. I am sure it is the first of many modifications to make it your house.
I got the transmission finished and found a leak but not from what I did. That took most of the day to fix but the truck is finally done!! I wonder what they have scheduled for me today, worries me a little.

Cleaned the Hummer and the car first thing this morning. I then mowed all the grass on the property and then installed the new cover for the vent on the motorhome. I had to go double time today since the wife was gone picking up her sister from airport most of the day yesterday and I didn't get much done.
I ordered the 4x4 posi lok set up to fix the 4 wheel drive not engaging on the Dodge Ram. I hate the vacuum system set up anyway so a cable will be much better.
Of course she had to take her new car. You know it a grown up Fiat now just like the Jeeps, Dodges, Chrylers and Alfa Romeo
I think I am going to put a 4 speed in the truck. The E4od are priced stupid the Zf5 has to be from a 6.9/7.3 diesel. The old T18/19 were in everything up to a out 88. THE PULL A PART yard in Lithonia has an 89 250 diesel manual but it 4x4. So I would have to buy the transfer case also.
After I told Lexie about the snake had no arguement about getting a tactical shotgun. I can get a new Mossburg Maverick 88 for a out 200. Small enough to keep on tractor. She even ask me if I was going to start taking the pistol out there. Told her no, did not think a 9 mm was a good snake gun
A 9mm could be a great snake gun, you just have a to be a good shot !!!
Decided to hold off and get an in-motion sat dish next year for the motorhome. Going to put a little money in the dodge and get a few things fixed on it. Next project is to put in a new headliner and replace the front windshield.
I am not that good of a shot. There is a local company down here that will do the windshield on the Mazda for 175. Is the Dodge wet sealed or gasket? If it wet sealed let a glass company do it. Time you find a used on , get out without breaking it, buy that adhesive. It would be a out the same.
Rock auto shows a gasket, If I buy the glass the people that do all our glass work here at work says labor will be minimal and not charge me a service call and just install it when they come in to do work for us. It's going to be an interesting week at work, the lead man is on vacation and 2 guys are in class.
