Kinda sound like you can start a buy back option. I bet they find the problem. Try and look above where the drips are it may be higher on the bell housing.

LNH68, had the same problem when i first bought my 02 CC4x4-V10, just droplets around a couple of the bolt heads and a little in the lip, took back 3 xs, was not dripping on the ground just seemed to form there. Third time new Tranny! NO more problem.

tranny leaking

I'm not sure about the 4R100, but on my '96 T-bird/'97 Cougar 4.6L cars, the tranny pan "gasket" is REUSABLE.

Quick edit: the above trannies are 4R70w's.

It's really a rubber gasket with metal reinforcing it inside.

I wonder if the gasket is bad, and because it's "reusable", they don't really change it? Just check torque on the bolts and leave it?

Or, the bolt hole was drilled too deep and it's leaking around the bolt threads.

Either way, there is an easy fix - actually REPLACE the gasket and then use RTV on the bolt threads.

Sounds like a typical Ford Dealer. Don't use their brains, just do what the computer says.
