Cigar lighter doesn't work
Hey everyone, I have a 2008 F350 I am finally getting back to with a non-working cigar lighter. I have checked ALL the fuses in the passenger kick panel and under the hood. The wire harness shows no excess wear or tampering so I just don't get it. The non-working lighter is the one near the driver's side. I do have power at the power point on the front passenger side. Does anybody have a clue to what or where I can check? Thanks! Kevin

sure,
many times the center button housing is cracked or broken.. and no longer makes contact with its MATE....
a different person last week had the same issue.. and it was broken and pushed back about 1/2 inch.. so NO CONNECT.

I checked the wiring for voltage on the other side of the plug so I know it isn't the lighter base. Something hidden that I cannot find. Fuses were checked three times, both fuse blocks. Wiring looks good with no signs of tampering or cuts from hackers. Just don't know where to look.
