4.7 swap?
anyone put a 4.6 & aod in one? I know they do coyotes & anything can be made to fit, just looking tips from someone who has done it? found a donor '94 tbird for $400 which is better than 8k for a used coyote. wife doesn't need 500 hp
thanks
thanks

Do some measuring. The 4.6 motors are pretty wide.
Adding all that other stuff will keep you busy. Check out aftermarket EFI. Not cheap, but getting more reasonable and you don't need to fool with adapting wiring and controllers. PS was probably available stock and should bolt right up to a 302. PB is just the booster with a vacuum source. AC either stock, Vintage Air, or other source.
Easy for me to say. What engine do you have now?

I don't think power steering was available stock, but there are several good options with a stock motor. Look in any of the on-line Bronco retailers.
AC might be a little more of an issue. Vintage Air might be your only off-the-shelf option for ducts, so you might want to go with whatever they offer for a compressor as well. If you do want to stay with more stock components, the front accessory drive of an Explorer with a 5.0 is about the only option that mounts an AC compressor and leaves reasonable room for a fan.
With the Explorer front dress you could go with the entire Explorer motor / trans / PCM to get fuel injection, auto trans with overdrive and a little more power. I'm not thinking it's an incredibly simple swap, but a lot easier than a 4.6, and lots of folks have done it.

I wish I had a cheap low mile exploder avail.....
kim isn't worried about hp, she just wants something with a modern powerplant(hence the FI, ps, pb ac)
I am a fabricator so am not real worried with the fab side.....
helped finish a nice high dollar bronco & the gen 4(?) vintage air interior unit worked fine
I know the mod motors are big, but people stuff coyotes in these deals right?
thanks for your thoughts/input & advice

302, five oh, even 351 R good due to being modern era.
I got all she seeks ("...wifey wants fi,ac, ps, pb, etc etc...") in an i6 & have all the power I need too.
The 4.6 I'm tinkin bout wuz in the Windstar and a low powered gas hog (281 ci). Yes - both R the modular motors (coyote/4.6)
Most of us can do anything we want with whatever given. Easier and cheeper w/good results? SB!
Ford 60s'n 70s had a "low hood" so no truck motors (plenum too hi).
Get some back up over THE bronk site - classicbronks dot com. It'll probable voice (your &) our options.
Good Luck, ("go ford sb" he whispers)

Here's a 4.6 SVT build for you to read. Not sure if it was necessary or not, but the guy widened the frame to stuff it in. Red Label 68 4.6 Terminator Powered Bronco - ClassicBroncos.com Forums

You are missing the point about "free" or even the $400 you mentioned earlier.
A fat man can find "free" pants with a 28" waist. Are they really "free" after $40 in alterations? The time and money in your 4.6 swap will be in the fitment, and the rundown of stuff that doesn't quite work, and adaptation.
When you start with the 302 motor, much of that goes away.

coyote in a bronk
Power steering was a stock option starting mid to late 70s (can't remember exactly when).
