The only way I can see the Lifetime Package working is that after 5 years, you can come back in and they`ll do the 5 year coating again for free but you might have to pay for paint problems to be corrected or even a full exterior detail before it`s applied.

If it were me, i`d skip the lifetime package and go for the 2 or 5 year package.
With the LIfetime package, you have to take the vehicle in once a year for them to "inspect" it. If you miss a year, it reverts to the 5 year plan. Same with Gold, if you miss, it reverts to the 2 year warranty.
Gold Package is 4 layers of 9H, 1 extra layer on exposed areas, 1 layer of "light" as a top coat, 1 layer of 9H on Plastic,Rims, 1 layer of "Rain" on windows.
Silver is 1 layer of 9H, 1 layer of "light", 1 layer of 9H on Plastic,Rims, and 1 layer of "Rain" on glass
Bronze is 1 layer of "light" and 1 layer of 'Rain" on glass.

Great info.

Well, if you plan on keeping your truck for more than five years, the life time package is the way to go if one can look past the steep price.

Let us know which package you decide to go with.

Have a great weekend.

The problem with lifetime options is there is a chance the company is no longer around when your hour of need arises.

Not only that....but what if you get in an accident after 1 or 2 years and body panels need to be replaced or your truck gets keyed or hit by a cart and buffing needs to be done? Are they gonna redo the coat for free?

The worse case scenario but oh so true.

Opinions on ceramic pro vs Ziebart?

theres a Ziebart place near me that I was going to get an undercoat/corrosion proofing + ceramic quote from. There’s also a ceramic pro the same distance in the opposite direction, but they don’t do bottoms. I’m not sure I’m fully sold on this ceramic stuff - having a hard time telling if it’s a fad that will fade in 5 years, but seems like folks here are happy.

So they'll do a 6 month coating with paint prep for about $500. How is that not a really expensive wax job that lasts about the same time with good care?

Actually yes they will recoat the body panels for free if your into an accident. I had my truck coated with ceramic pro and I did the 5yr silver package. I asked that question about an accident or broken windshield and he said to contact him right away and he'll reach out to the insurance company to have that added into the claim. We have zero deductible glass coverage here in arizona so if my windshield breaks and I have it replaced, he will also recoat the windshield free of charge.

I had my truck ceramic coated with ceramic pro and I asked this same question. Since Ceramic Pro is tied to your VIN# and can be transferred to the new owner if you sell your vehicle, he said if he were to go out of business or any ceramic pro authorized installer goes out of business or lets say you move and you bought the 5yr or lifetime plan, you can go to any authorized ceramic pro installer to get your yearly inspection/maintenance coating completed from them. Their rates may vary from your original installer but they will still apply the yearly "sport" coat so your lifetime or 5yr warranty stays intact.

I had Ceramic Pro installed on my truck last month. I've always been interested in doing this but could never spend the money to do it on any previous vehicle. I have always done the cut and polish work on my vehicles in the past but then again I could also fit them in my garage. Living in Arizona the sun is very powerful and shines 365 days a year and likes to damage and oxidize paint really fast. My F250 wont fit in my garage so its forced to sit outside in my driveway exposed to the elements. I figured since its a $72,000 vehicle, spending $1,200 to have it ceramic coated is nothing especially since the thing we love most about our trucks is the appearance and keeping it looking nice. So I decided to take the plunge and spend the money to get it coated. All i can say is WOW. So glad I spent the money because it basically looks freslhly waxed after every wash.

I did the silver package which is the 5yr package from Ceramic Pro. As someone else mentioned, this product can only be purchased by authorized installers of their product. Items that were coated was the paint, plastic trim, glass, bumpers, headlights, taillights, wrapped grill, wheels and my tonneau cover. Basically any item exposed to the elements was covered. Regarding the 5yr warranty, there is a yearly inspection/maintenance application that needs to be applied. My installer is just charging me cost for the product which is $100 to apply the yearly sport coating. He will also do any minor work to the paint and remove any scratches that my have happened over the year.

Easiest way to think of what Ceramic Coating is would be like tempered glass over your cell phone screen. The tempered glass will take majority of the hits and scratches before damaging your screen. Same thing with ceramic pro! Keep in mind it wont prevent scratches from happening, anything will scratch. What it will do is keep your paint looking freshly waxed for years to come. Washing becomes ultra easy as well. No need to use a hose and a bucket of normal wash soap to pre-soak, wash and rinse with a hose. Simply use ONR (optimum no rinse) wash solution. Get a giant sponge, fill a bucket with 2 gallons of water and a cap full of ONR and then wet your sponge and simply go over the paint while its dry. You would think its scary to do but its super slick and loaded with a polymer that will lift the dirt off your coating. After you wipe it with the wet sponge you'll go over that section with a microfiber cloth and then its totally clean. No need to waste water and use a hose to rinse the truck off and risk water spots all over it. I was blown away after my detailer came over and did our first maintenance wash after the coating cured (which took 2 weeks). So now I can wash my truck basically anytime or anywhere. if I want to do it while camping I can, or in my driveway or in a parking garage or at a friends house or at the mall parking lot. All i need is 2 gallons of water, some microfiber cloths, the sponge and the ONR solution! 15 minutes later my truck is sparkling clean.

The silver package has 3 layers installed and there is an 8hr cure period between certain layers. My detail guy had my truck for 4 days most of which was prep time doing paint correction and prep work. Once it was prepped and ready it didnt take long to apply the ceramic.

So for anyone thinking of doing it, just do it! You wont be disappointed and its quite amazing. I've had a ton of compliments about how clean it stays since the ceramic is like a glass coating applied to your paint. The dust just rolls right off or if water hits it, it just beads up and rolls right off.

Here are some pics!
