The previous owner installed a rather large propane tank in the back seat, apparently this was used as a cheaper fuel alternative when the truck reached highway speeds. Its definately not legal and needs to go, how do I safely remove this? How will effect my carb?
If you could take a bunch of pictures of what you have and post them up here, I am sure you would get some good advice from people. Kinda hard to give you solid advice without knowing what we are commenting on.
I work on IC trucks that have propane as a fuel source, generally the take should have a shutoff valve on it, turn that to the right and close off the tank before doing anything. Then you should be safe to remove the tank.
As for the Carb....i have no clue. Someone who has done a LPG conversion should be able to help.
I don’t know if propane conversions are illeagle...or dangerous...in South America a lot of vehicles are LPG powered because the quality of fuel is so poor.
