When I first joined this forum, I thought the "Darkside" meant a Ford truck with a Chevy engine, for example. But then I was told it meant any kind of modification beyond stock, whether it's with Ford, Chevy, Dodge, etc. parts. So I just gave up trying to understand the word. IMO, this truck is not a Darksider. It's just a nice old Chevy truck. Enjoy it.

I don't know what put that dent in the right fender but based on my past experience with these trucks you better bring a BFH if you plan to beat it out. Those old Chevys have some thick metal in their skin.

That's a good looking old truck! A couple of guys here where I live have 1/2 ton Chevys about that vintage. They went to the dark side and installed Ford engines in them. Drives all the Chevy guys nuts at car shows.

I agree with Doc. Darkside means a modification to a stock truck. That Chevy looks pretty stock to me. Is it a dump truck?

it has a hoist on it. I am going to take them sides off and rebuild the deck and re place the sideboards a little differantly. The truck is straight, needs some attention after sitting so many years.. The dent wont be too hard an issue.

I didn't think it was original just curious what it looked like. Any time I come across an old car or truck there is often times evidence of one but long gone..
