Let me get this out of the way... 91 F350 CC LB 4x4 7.3 IDI E4OD, NO TILT COLUMN
This truck was owned by 3 fatboys in a row (myself included). Apparently we each found the need to pull on the steering wheel to get our fat asses up into the truck. Now there is a bunch of play towards the driver door in the column. The rod that engages the starter is also broken, hence the momentary switch added to the dash. It doesn't bother me too much but now the AC only comes on if I wiggle the wheel while holding the key slightly forward of "run". The lock cylinder was replaced .
there are no wires in the top of the column that would effect the AC only wires in the column above the brake pedal are the horn and blinker wires.
my bet is the upper bearing is gone causing the ignition actuator rod to put the ignition switch in a partial off position.

Thanks, It's about time I took on that job anyway. It keeps me from putting the tranny in tow mode and the turn signals don't work either. I just discovered that since the op.
He does, One of the trucks has a running 7.3 and good body and running gear. I'm thinking of making him an offer for the whole thing and putting it in the road. Like I need another project, LOL
