460 ????

Hello all
I am wanting to put a 460 in my 1966 F100 it is a 3 speed on the tree with overdrive, does anybody know were I could get a bell housing that will work with this sit up ?

Better start buying up three speeds NOW, as I expect their life behind a 460 will be SHORT

You can use a bell housing from a 77-79 351M or 400 truck as they share the same big block bell housing. You might want to consider a better xmission though. I would suggest the NV4500 from a 2WD Dodge truck. You can get a rebuilt one with an upgraded 1 3/8" input shaft that will allow you to use a 12" clutch disc from a 428CJ or Boss 429. Or you can use an 11" GM clutch disc with the stock (1 1/4" IIRC) input shaft. It's a massive xmission though and will require several mods to make it work.
