minor question

Any tips on how to clean the degas bottle on my Eseries? It was filthy when I bought it. I've swished soap and gas around in it and got a lot of gunk out, but it's still dirty. The Eseries bottles are twice as much as the Fseries or I'd just go buy a new one.

Dawn dishwashing liquid. Gasoline will tend to leave a residual odor. Dawn cuts the grease and rinses clean. Just like on an oil spill covered sea bird.

Well, it wasn't Dawn, but I tried dish soap first. I made progress on the area under the cap out through the bottom, although it's still gunky, but that closed off section where the two small hoses connect doesn't get as much swishing action and still looks black. Then, I started using gas and made some more progress on the open area. It just scares me to see that black bottle, thinking I got oil in my coolant every time I open the hood.

This is the third one I've tried to clean (E and F) without too much success. I'll prolly just go buy a new one. Maybe they're cheaper on Amazon.
