5r110 flush
I had my 5r110 ( 2005 F250 5.4) flushed and serviced at the dealer yesterday, I do it every 30,000 miles. When I picked my truck up I noticed that they used BG full synthetic ATF, not Mercon LV, I approached the service desk and they stated that’s what Ford recommends.... I am waiting to hear from the service manager today, I do not have a warm fuzzy about the BG atf... am I overly concerned for no reason? The BG Full synthetic states that it’s compatible with Mercon LV. I currently run a diesel site external filter and want to make sure I’m not going to harm my transmission.
