2017 f250 electrical problems

Have an almost new f250 with about 9000km. First time issue happened was with 800km. Problem occurs only on very damp mornings (likely 100% humidity).Truck starts fine but instantly goes into a service mode with the wrench icon appearing. Service advancetrak warning box also and hill start assist not available. Truck also goes into a limp mode and is gutless (no lights or icons, just that you feel it while driving). It would literally take 30+ seconds to get to 60 mph if I were flooring it. These modes usually last an hour or so and then clear with no lights coming on the dash... everything back to normal until next very wet day. It took me a couple months to get it to the shop as I own a contracting business and was far too busy to take the time to deal with it. Hence why I bought a brand new truck in the first place.
Next problem occurred when I started the truck and lost all accessory power, although it started and ran fine. I had no power at all to my gauge cluster, radio, windows, climate control, etc. At this point I finally took it to a local dealer. Once there I got a rental, after emptying out a full truck... pain in the ****.
The dealership ended up keeping the truck for a month and replaced the gateway module. Apparently over a $1000 fix and the advice of Fords headquarters. Got the truck back, 2 days later... same problems as before.

I now took the truck to the dealership I bought it from because if something will ever happen as far as getting a replacement truck I have to deal with the dealership I bought from (not close to home= pain in the ****).
They had the truck for a week and replaced the throttle position sensor, and assured me that was the cause of those problems. A few days later, same problems except both of them came at the same time. This has “not” happened before. Unreal. I’m running out of patience fast. I’m also beginning to think to trucks whole electrical system is toast. Ford can’t even seem to diagnose it. The codes stay in the computer but it mustn’t be obvious what to do. Problems occurred yesterday and going to start making calls tomorrow

Any suggestions out there.. I don’t have time for this back and forth to the dealership with nothing being resolved. I mean, who would. Should I be demanding a new truck? Anyone ever had to go through that process?

Take a look at this thread. From what I've read a few have experienced similar problems due to a wiring harness in the rear of the truck. There are other threads also addressing this particular connector but this was the first I came across.

Here’s the short version of the TSB. The formatting is a little off.

NHTSA ID: 10125064
TSB ID: tsb17-2196

Some 2017 f-super duty pickup vehicles built on or before 7-jun-2017 may exhibit various intermittent electrical concerns due to water intrusion into the 14405 wire harness. symptoms may include, but are not limited to uncommanded tailgate

TSB date 12/14/17. System, Electrical and Air Conditioning

i have the full TSB on my laptop. PM me if you want it.

The dealer should be able to find it using the TSB ID number.

Hope this helps.

Thanks very much for the info, I’m definitely going to pass this on to the dealer. Sounds like some others have rectified this. Hoping this is the cause, too much time wasted already. The confusing part is how ford themselves could not have given this info, but instead put $2000 worth of parts and labour into the truck. Not to mention the cost of my rental vehicle. Especially with there being a known TSB

I had the same issues and my truck was built in August 2017.

That harness was on national backorder. My dealership created a custom connector and it solves my problems.

If that hat harness is still tough to get there are solutions.
