Chasing down fuel leak
1997 F350 CCLB 4x4 7.3. So I have a small fuel leak, it drips off of my starter after running for awhile and parked on a slight incline. At idle it will drip slowly, about one drop every couple seconds once warm and after driving. I cleaned the top of the motor, the fuel bowl, drain valve and all around with degreaser so I could get a fresh look to find the leak. I’ve narrowed it down a little and looking for any help if anyone else has had the same leak. It is not the fuel bowl or the drain, it looks to be behind the fuel bowl a bit. I’ll post a picture, I’ve read through a handful of the fuel leak posts on here and haven’t seen (or missed) any posts about this similar leak. Any info is greatly appreciated!

Yes, California truck. Thanks for the info. I went down the YouTube rabbit hole after reading this and yes I think it is the dampner. I plan to replace the fuel pump, rubber fuel lines, and dampner. It’s got 174k miles and I’m the third owner so not sure if fuel pump has ever been replaced. I’ll update the thread when I get it sorted out. Thank you again.
