So I've been talking with Spring Works, a company that makes custom springs. They say that they can make me a custom spring that will lift the front end 2.5" as well as offer a softer spring rate than stock, all for about $600. Softer springs paired up with Fox 2.0s sound like a sweet set up.
Has anyone had custom springs made before? Anyone deal with Spring Works? I am thinking I might give this a shot because I am having a heck of a time finding 2.5" progressive rate springs for the gas Super Duty. My primary focus is ride quality. Thanks!
Yes sir, in Anchorage. Was born above the Arctic Circle though. I have spacers now, nothing wrong with the set up, I am just looking for a way to soften things up a bit.
check out carli suspension nice stuff very well engineered and different packages for different applications icon makes good stuff as well but like everything else its going up $ shocks have come along way
On my old 2011 F350, I had a Carli 4” system with 2.5 King Pintops w/remote resivours & full Deaver pack. I added airbags and Daystar air bag cradles. Oh do I miss it!!! My only beef- the cost to get it to Alaska. Might as well add on $1,200 to your order.
The logic seems leggit- provides you could determine the spring rate for the front coils, I don’t see why they couldn’t be fabbed locally. Even here in AK, we have have a few shops that can make them. Now I’m curious... Does anyone know the coil spring rates for the F350s? This could be factory springs (with or without plow package) or aftermarket set-ups like Carli, Kore, Icon, etc.

Reason: Spelling error
Why not a linear rate spring instead of progressive? Too much shock compression damping required? Progressives always seemed like a bandaid for lame shocks. But now 2.5's are coming down in price and hydraulic bumps stops are available.
The Carli springs are for the diesel. We don's say "Bro" enough, to warrant producing a softer gas spring for.

did you end up getting a custom coil set up? If so how did they turn out?
