What would be the result if someone (I'm not suggesting myself!) installed plugs that were a quarter inch longer than those removed?
According to "Napa Auto Parts" website, the plugs are listed as replacements for my engine(83 2.3),as were the plugs removed. The difference though is a quarter inch from the seat of the plugs to the tip(da part dat sparks!)- the newer being the larger.
If it matters the old plugs were "Autolite # 765 , the new are "NGK V-power 7060('s).
I had the same prob in my first ranger 3.0 L 4x4 being a teenager I didn't check! I cracked 4 valves and a piston...my advice stay with MOTORCRAFT parts
Short of the " clunkity clunk kabamm" sound of the plugs hitting the pistons, whick hasn't to my knowledge happened yet, will it just make my truck run like crap?
