fan control switch does anyone have a pic of wires in place.? Mine melted and took wires out and heat shrink wraped them all but dont want to fry anything. The sooner the better. Its like driving a oven around with no a/c
I've attached what is used in a 92-96 Econoline. Ford doesn't alter truck designs much unless there is a radical change, your 99 could be the same. Hope this helps.

Your attached schematic looks very, very close to the later years BUT keep in mind Ford is famous for changing wire colors, specified connectors and pin-outs for those connectors. Without sitting down and comparing this 92-96 schematic with something from '97 and later I won't say definitively they're they same.
Also keep in mind the heater and A/C systems of 1997 and later were of the vacuum controlled variety which is probably the biggest difference in those years.
The heater wires at the switch in the dash as well as the ones leading into the resistor network at the blower motor housing are known to melt and fuse themselves together---I have one of those myself to sort out sometime in the next few months. Mine will do the medium and high speeds only, no low or super low for me. Having already replaced the dash switch and pigtail lead all that remains is the ClusterPuck under the hood.
The possibility of a difference is why I mentioned it and stated that it could be the same. We all know what its like to ride in a toaster oven! I was just hoping to give him a starting point.
You mentioned, "Also keep in mind the heater and A/C systems of 1997 and later were of the vacuum controlled variety which is probably the biggest difference in those years.". My 94 is completely vacuum controlled except for servo motors on the blend door.
