New to the Super Duty family and have been looking over my '18 F250 since I got it a few weeks ago... I've noticed many connections that are capped off all over the frame on the truck. Does anyone have any descriptions of these connections and what they could be used for? I've tried looking at Ford's upfitter guides and other avenues with no results... Any help is much appreciated!
following.... I see a Big what looks like OBD port behind the radiator hanging from the D/S frame rail... not protected at all... would also like to know about others
Depends on the truck level of trim you have and the options. If you don’t have that option, you may have a capped off plug here and there for purposes of adding options at the factory. For example, power running boards, you may have a harness with this plug empty. It depends on the harness they laid out on your truck for the options on the build sheet. These are not for up fitting but in some cases can be plug and play with the ODS or Forscan to activate.
upfitter switches and pass through wires are for adding things that are not factory.
you would have to take a pic and location and ask on the board here what it’s for to be sure, plug by plug.
