Getting first oil change next week. My third diesel so that's not an issue. When I told theservice guy I'd like the wheels rotated, he seemed surprised then said duallys would cost more. It is 6tires vs 4 but what is a possible cost on this? Also, how do the tires get rotated on a dually? Small town dealer and really don't think they may do any at all.
They get swapped side to side. Not sure about the cost. Same number of lug nuts. Seems odd to charge more as it only takes a minute to move the extra wheels. It is what it is.

Larger heavier wheels that usually are stuck on would be my guess
According to your owners manual, fronts get rotated side to side, rears get rotated only if there is unusual wear noted.
I always got my fronts rotated for free as part of the oil change.
Some (not me) rotate dually by keeping the tire directional rotation the same direction and rotate all six, this means dismounting the rears from rims in order move them all around and therefore they cost more to rotate because the inside rears are on steel wheels and the outside rears are polished aluminum on most trim levels. I don't rotate on my dually, I let the fronts wear out and just replace them every time, then replace the rears as they wear out and they are at different intervals. The front wear out faster than the rears by a good pace.
