"Art" will have power steering soon . Thanks to EZ steer in Tx. & a little help from my friends . . Question on the pump . . Have the option of a small pulley or large pulley . What is the difference on steering & what would you suggest . Am not knowledgeable on this subject . Thanks , Denny

Also late last yr. it was awarded the Best Truck at "Big Daddy " Don Garlits show in Ocala , Fla. Receiving the trophy from Big himself was very special being a drag race fan since '65 .
The pulley size on the pump is a function of the pulley size on the crankshaft. Some of the earlier setups were fairly compact and had a small crank and pump pulley. In the mid 70’s, the A/C became fairly common and the suspension designs allowed more room under the hood. The crank pulleys got larger to accommodate the additional accessories and the P/S pulley grew also to keep the pump speed at a reasonable level. Do you know what your crank pulley originally came from? The pump you have pictured appears to have the smaller pulley.
I don't think the crank pulley and the PS pulley are the same diameter, I think he's saying there are two sizes of each and you need to use small/small or large/large. The word "match" may be confusing me.
