I don't really have anything to add, but I'm subscribing to see how it goes. Good luck! And beautiful trucks you have there!

You have to match the pump to the steering gear. For example Toyota boxes require 1100-1400 psi,

Denny,

The pulley size on the pump is a function of the pulley size on the crankshaft. Some of the earlier setups were fairly compact and had a small crank and pump pulley. In the mid 70’s, the A/C became fairly common and the suspension designs allowed more room under the hood. The crank pulleys got larger to accommodate the additional accessories and the P/S pulley grew also to keep the pump speed at a reasonable level. Do you know what your crank pulley originally came from? The pump you have pictured appears to have the smaller pulley.

Crank is a '68 BB Ford . So match the PS pump pulley to the crank pulley ? Is that correct ?

Yes, that's the way it should be done.

I don't think the crank pulley and the PS pulley are the same diameter, I think he's saying there are two sizes of each and you need to use small/small or large/large. The word "match" may be confusing me.
