Wanted 370 engine

Hello to all here on this great forum. This is my first time posting and i did so after reading as a guest for a long time. I have a project where i want to put a 370 big block into my project and this is for legal reasons so my question is, does anybody have a good running 370 for sale in or near southern California

Welcome to FTE. Do you have to do that for smog check reasons? The 370 isn't the finest example of Ford's handiwork....

Hello and thank you, no i do not need it for smog but I do need it because here in Aus we have to suffer the indignation of bureaucrats making decisions about what we can and can't modify and how so an engineer needs to sign off on it hence my request. Thank you ford390 I looked at laws website and there are none listed, would you know of any others. I have googled some and they seem to be the same

You are going to have to call LKQ and speak with a counter rep directly. They don't put those on the website.

370 (& 429) introduced in 600 and larger series trucks in 1979.

Call Marty at SoCal Truck Wrecking to see if he has one (323-587-3144) // socaltruckparts@sbcglobal.net

8229 S. Alameda Street, Los Angeles 90001 .. Closed weekends.

Ford 370

Thanks ND, i have and yes they do have some, thank you for the contact details.
also 85e150 i believe i may owe you an apology. After re reading my response to your post i realized that it may have come across the wrong way and i apologize for that. I am in no way angry at you or your question and i am only a little bit annoyed by the legal system over here as it is a product of the people who either abused the system or blatantly ignored our laws. Once again my apologies if I offended you.
thank you all, lenoaus

No problem. Living in California, I understand restrictions. I didn't look up your location, so I thought you might be dealing with California smog laws, which require original equipment.

Anyway, good luck with your project!
