quick front suspension question

I have a 2005 4x4 EX. I want to keep my springs as Im happy with the overall ride and height. What I need to do though is replace the bushings and I'd like to upgrade to an energy or another urethane bushing. Seems they all offer a bushing up to 2004, but no 2005. Now I know that the EX's came with leaf springs until 2005 but the trucks didnt so I want to assume that the bushing people just dont know or arent sure enough to say their stuff will fit. However there's also the unlikely possibility that ford changed bushings sizes in 2005. So heres my question:

Are the 2005 excursion 4x4 front leaf spring bushings the same as the earlier years? If someone has some direct knowledge of this I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks, Jeff

I bought all the Energy Suspension leaf spring bushing kits and ended up buying new leaf springs and have no use for the bushing kits. Are you interested?

I wish I would have seen this sooner. I literally ordered them right after I get the last message about them fitting. Thanks for the offer though!

Dang it! I’m having to pay shipping back to Amazon, I would have rather paid it to ship to a fellow Excursion owner. No biggie.

Hey when your replaced your springs where did you put the jackstands? I have them right behind the shackle but it sure does seem like a lot of weight hanging off the front

i put one set right in front of the Transmission crossmember on each side and one in the front on each side under my full replacement bumper and adjusted them so they all had weight on them. I didn’t like having all that weight on just the frame in front of the transmission while I was prying and jacking on the axle and springs. I did the fronts last Sunday and rears on Monday by myself with 6 jack stands and 3 floor jacks. Some 2x4 scraps and 1/2 and 3/8” plywood scraps worked like a charm for blocking up on top of the jack stands. I am lucky to live down south where there is no salt on the roads. My truck is rust free and the fasteners came out without heating anything up.

You can probably support the frame at the very front where the factory bumper bolts up.

Yah once I removed the lower support tube in front I could see plenty of frame to work with.

Did you cut your fenders out to fit those bigger tires? Its hard to tell from the small profile pic

No, 35x12.50’s fit fine, just had to wire the rear of front fenderwells back so they don’t rub when I turn into parking lots etc. ni

I’m going to go another 2” in front with ICON 2” shackles and 1” more in the rear with an F-350 3 1/2” block to get it where I want it.
