Ignition lock "extra"

While continuing work on my 2008 Quigley E250, I removed the ignition lock to get to the shift lever mechanism. I used a You Tube video for removing the lock which was easy. While getting ready to reinstall the lock, I noticed the wire and some sort of connector hanging down under the lock housing. I believe it must have come out when I pulled the lock, but I don't know how it goes back in the lock housing or if it came from another part of the steering wheel assembly. Can anybody shed some light on where the connector piece goes? Thanks for your help

Connector is to the right of the lock housing

I messed around with my ignition as well and came across that little wire/connection.
i (THINK) it sits in that little (cut out) in the 5 o'clock position. This would be the (cut out )
on the OUTSIDE of the housing. Let me see if I can do some quick line drawing in a paint program.....
My recollection was that it was not held in place in a real secure manner.

Just to be clear.....I am just guessing here....I could be wrong.
I just seem to remember that it was pretty much just hanging there even after you place it
in position. I (think) it gets locked in better when you slide the ignition back into place.
If no one else chimes in I can look better at mine tomorrow & tell you for certain where it goes.

Thank you all for your help. I spent a little time working on it last night and your photos show exactly where the piece goes. There were no slits down the housing for the wire that connects the piece, so it had to be located on an outside edge. I had to make some bushings for the shift lever which was very loose where the pin secures it.to the shaft. The end of the lever had a plastic boot that takes up a lit of free play in the lever. That little plastic boot does not exist according to Ford parts breakdowns so I modified nylon washers to take up the slack.
