Here's a comparison of a '17 F-250 without the plow package vs an '18 F-350 with plow package. There is a couple of inches difference in the front but almost even in the back. Both trucks have 20" wheels & 6.7's. The F-250 does have about 52k miles on it vs the 5k on the 350.
Snow plow prep package=factory lift kit!! (Just kidding of course!)
How is the rear on the f350 not taller? It has higher rated leaf springs and the larger block from the factory?
If you read Ford fleet body-builder literature, the F-250 sits higher than a 350. Just by a smidge, with the same configurations. Perhaps the spring configuration slightly lowers the 350. But its like a couple of tenths of an inch, nothing to speak about.
Im installing a 2.5" ready lift sst kit on my f250. Would it be ok to swap out my stock front springs for f350 plow prep springs? I'm thinking that extra half inch on top kf the 2.5" spacer would get me at 3" where i want to be. Or would the ride be stiff in the front
^^^^^^ Heavier springs equal stiffer ride for a given weight on them. Can't change the laws of physics. Do you want weight carrying capability or a smooth ride? They still make cars and even Cadillacs.
