If I get the Nx2 shocks, it's only because I plan on getting King 2.5's at a later date. There's nothing wrong with them, it's just that these trucks don't see much gain from shocks until you select serious $$$ shocks.
Im more wondering if it’s worth the extra $300 to upgrade to the Fox 2.0 from the NX2 shocks in the bds kit

I’ve narrowed it down to the 2.5” BDS level or the 3.5” Ready Lift.
Has anyone used the NX2 shocks instead of Fox in the 2.5” BDS leveling kit? Curious to hear everyone’s opinions of them.
Also, anyone running the 3.5” Ready Lift, what shocks do you need to buy for this kit?
I’ve got the 3.5” RL with Fox 2.0s. My receipt from the place that installed my lift lists the front shocks as 980-24-646 and the rear shocks as 980-24-647. Double check those numbers as I know the wrong shocks were ordered first time around.
The Fox 2.0's are proper 2" monotube shocks. Far better than anything found in normal trucks with normal twin tube shocks. They don't hold a candle to custom valved 2.5" remote res shocks though. ($750 a pair!)
I had fox fox on my last truck (Duramax) and thought they rode stiff. Tempted to give NX2 a try, especially if the fox 2.0 and NX2 are similar in ride quality

Is NX2 a rebrand of something else? There are some cheap shocks out there. I’d rather upgrade to an adjustable rather than guess that these NX2s are going to give you the ride you want. You’re more than likely going to change them again.
I have the BDS 2” level and the BDS Fox 2.0 shocks all around. I too was considering the NX2 shocks and my shop owner talked me out of them. He said the NX2 are okay on the street, but the Fox 2.0s are significantly better off road. I’ve had the truck for about 10 months, and have spent maybe 15 days hunting off-road. I’m very happy with the Fox Shocks on washboard roads.
