I got the AC fixed !!! It would barely blow cold at idle before all the new components, now it's super cold. The front brakes and rotors arrived yesterday during the rain storm so I will get those put on this morning and hopefully be done with her SUV today. Could have had the brakes done but I had to run to town to buy a new floor jack and the afternoon thunderstorm set me back.
I was able to change out the ac compressor and the drier yesterday afternoon after work on the mom in-laws SUV. Would not have been too bad if the compressor wasn't at the bottom of the engine under the alternator. Took a sick day from work since we are super slow, most everything is out on rent so the field techs are catching hell but we are slow in the shop. Heading back out to hopefully have it done by lunch time since it looks like a chance of rain in the afternoon.
Everything in the AC system is replaced, cleaned and vacuuming it down now. I had to remove the wiper fluid tank and the radiator overflow tank to get to the orifice tube. They do not make cars easy to work on anymore and I'm so glad I don't work at a car dealership and have to do this stuff everyday.
some of the pickups in the manual pictures state "engine removed for clarity"
Be so glad when this weather breaks. Rode out to land yesterday. Grass was up to the running boards on the Jeep. On the way hone got caught in bad storm
