Im in the midst of overhauling a 96 PSD; I will be pulling the body and motor to do rust repair and some other upkeep.
I have a new oil pan, welded some new oil jets, up pipes, down pipe, hoses belt etc. Wondering if anyone has tips for other parts that are easy to replace with the motor out.
O rings on the fuel & oil plugs at the end of the heads. If the exhaust manifolds are leaking its a great time to pull them and machine them flat and put gaskets on them.
Reseal the entire engine, only use approved sealant like TA-31 ftom Motorcraft to seal the oil pan and front timing cover. If your also rebuilding the engine make sure all O rings and seals are OEM or at least OEM approved.

Good call. Added to the list!
Truck only has 160k on it, not rebuilding, but will definitely reseal.
