Speed control surging
I took my 87 f250 on a long trip yesterday since the 86 is down for the trans swap, set the cruise at 65 and went for 5 or 6 miles and the cruise started surging it would slow to 60 then speed back up to 65 fairly rapidly i tried turning it off and back on but still the same it will go along fine for a mile or 2 then it wont maintain speed. I dont use the cruise often but it has always worked fine in the past. I assume my speed sensor is going bad and i would also assume its the one on the speedo cable at the transmission not the one in the rear end but maybe you folks know more than me so advice is appreciated. A little background on the truck, its an 87 f250 6.9/ C6 w/ 4:10 rear gear extended cab lariat it currently has 120,000 miles on it just fyi
