I am most likely going with a 6” lift and 37” Toyo mt which I ran n my old 2011. Is there a downside as to ride with a 22” wheel over a 20”. I have only had 37x20 and do not want to sacrifice ride for looks. Thanks
I have 6" lift with 37/13.5/22's. Truck rides awesome. I can't offer you a comparison to 20's but I'm sure happy with my 22's. My only complaint is it was difficult to find heavy duty (off road rated) snow chains but I finally found some.
I like more sidewall on the tire so I'd go with the 20" wheels, actually I'd prefer 18" but that's just me. With that said the truck above looks good with the 22s.

The 22's were on the truck when I bought it. If I were buying them I probably would have gone with 20's just due to cost difference. I will say though one surprising thing is how easy is it to clean the 22's. Because of their size my big wash brush easily gets in there and cleans them. Just a little unexpected plus
I have run both 20s and 22s on mine. The 22s ride great and handle much better. There is a balance here between floppy sidewalls and mushy handling vs harsh ride. 22s with 37s gives plenty of sidewall and a good ride. I drove a friends with 18s and 37s and holy crap was it slow to turn. To each their own I guess.
Ya I wouldn’t go any smaller then a 20 for sure. I do a lot of traveling on the highway back and forth to our property in North Florida and didn’t want to lose ride quality. However if they are both nearly identical I would love to run the 22s. I figured it would be the same as someone running 35s on 20’s
I am currently running 20x9" 0 offset wheels with my 37x12.50 tires. There are two reasons I stuck with a 20" wheel.
If I went to a 22 in the style American Force wheels I wanted it'd have to have been a 22x10" wheel with a -25mm offset. Sp they would stick out further and I feel like I would have had rubbing issues on the fenders and lower front bumper.
I already had the 37x12.50r20 tires as I was running them on my stock wheels for about 5-6k miles. So, they were too new to be replaced.
All that being said, I love the look of a 22x10 wheels with 37" tires.
I had 37/13.5s on my 08 and moving to my new truck with 37/12.5s definitely feels more locked in. I didn't like the look of 20s in the past, but it sure looks sharp now. Alot of complements daily with my truck. I'd just stick with 20s. Mine doesn't feel lifted at all driving it, and I love it
Just put 22's on 35x12.50's and the fox 2.0 shocks It rides better than before but with the wider tires (i guess) i will be putting the fox steering stabilizer. But with the new shocks and the new wheels it rides better than stock
I know this is a old conversation but I have a truck just like yours and with similar wheels. I’m told 37” tires will rub, do you have any issues? I currently have 35x12.50x22 but there’s way too much fender gap. I don’t know the offset of my wheels but yours look very similar if not the same. Also I have a 6” lift.

I agree, a 17 or 18" wheel would be better in every way. I wouldn't go bigger than an 18" wheel unless I was running 40" tires or larger, having more sidewall is a good thing.
