I have ranger xlt with the duel battery set up and the secondery batterys positive cable came in contact with the frame, since then there has been a steady battery drain. I have found that my dash and wipers are now charged even with the key off. Any suggestions on wher the short is?

You may have fried a diode in the alternator which in turn would drain a battery.

Check the alternator's out put......when running you want to see 14.5 VDC..
