Ignorant to weird electrical problems...
my 87 ranger has a slow battery drain and I can't figure it out... When I drive the truck, the battery holds a charge just fine. I can park it for a few hours and it will start right up but if I park it overnight the battery is drained in the morning. I have to disconnect the ground at the battery overnight. With the engine running I can disconnect the battery cable and the engine stays running but the windshield wipers come on at breakneck speed! Even faster than the high setting at the switch. Could it be a ground problem, relay, or what? Any ideas greatly appreciated!

I suspect you may have a alternator problem. If you don't have a testlight or voltmeter, just unplug the alternator overnight and see if the problem goes away. Parts of the alternator can go bad, and it will still charge, but it will drain the battery also when the engine is off.
