Coolant loss question

I was getting ready for a road trip today and noticed my coolant was down to the seam on the degas bottle. The truck was sitting for about 15 hours so it was cold. I've only added about 16oz in the 3 years I've owned it (49K miles). I had some vc-12 so I just topped it off with that. Other coolant was a little low also. It needed about 8oz to get it to the full line. So I was wondering if anyone else has added a little coolant over the years. Thanks.

I hope this is NOT your situation!
On my 2005 GMC 2500HD diesel, I was losing coolant. Filled it several times in a month or 2. That, after many years of never adding any.
Blown head gasket. About $5000 to repair.

I hope not also. I'm still under warranty until 7 years or 115K so if it is major I hope I know before then.

I highly doubt it's a head gasket on a 6.7 powerstroke. This is not very common on this motor. Cummins and duramax are a different story. Most guys that delete and even run aftermarket turbo's on the powerstroke don't bother studding it cause it is usually a non issue, even running big boost.
