E pump

Hi y'all new here recently purchased a 93 f350 crew cab 4x4 has the 7.3 idi, this is also my first diesel and my first Ford truck. Has a hard starting issue so my first thought was to change the glow plugs , come to find out it was not the issue problem is that it looses prime after sitting for a few hours, ordered a return line kit changed the o ring on the injectors the fuel lines bonnets and clamps, the one on the driver's side closest to the fire wall seems to leak some fuel while running not much but still have an issue starting, you will run the batteries dead before it starts, I know it's not good but when I need to use it a small shot of either and it fires right up. So I have a couple questions epump Wich pump would you recommend? Where in line would you place the pump by the tank or on the passenger fenderwell, how to wire it up to the ignition or through a relay and can the block pump be left on the motor to use instead of a block plate , thanks

Maybe your glow plugs still aren't working because you didn' blow up with the starting fluid? Also if fuel leaks out then air can leak in.

E-fuel

You can read about this from now till forever on any of the powerstroke forums. I want to read about it someday.

One thing I read recently was about the firing order and whether the regulator was before or after the fuel rail. An injector can get an insufficient fuel supply under some conditions. This isn't an area for guesswork.

Here's a link into the FAQs over on the 7.3 diesel forum. There is a section of links on electric fuel.

You are a 93. I got you in the wrong forum. Sorry. I'll leave this here so I can find it anyway.
