I am pretty sure I have seen threads on this before, but cannot seem to find them. I am looking for information on replacement tanks for a 2017 f-250 diesel Extended cab, short bed. I prefer to replace the OEM tank and not a use an inbed tank. I met someone camping this past weekend who has the same tuck as mine except that its a '16. He had a ford dealership outside of Dallas who replaced a 29 Gal. with an after market 50 Gal. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.
I just put a Titan 55 gallon tank in my truck a few weeks ago. Changed the distance to empty calibration on truck using Forscan. It's a mod you'll never regret. Filled up yesterday and it shows 660 miles to empty!
TransferFlow and Titan are the two companies. Search for TransferFlow and you’ll find 2 big threads about the pros and cons of each. I just had the TransferFlow installed. I went with them because the price including install was about $200 cheaper.
What would folks offer up as cons of the bigger tanks? Curious to hear.
The larger tank means no more OEM skid plate covering the stock tank. May not be an issue for most people. Although, the Titan tank is pretty much bullet proof. If I'm not traveling, I have to fill up like once a month, which is nice. Plus, if you are traveling (especially towing), you don't have to stop nearly as often to fill up, or navigate tight gas station setups with your trailer in tow.
I think after you get your head past dropping the coin to have it done, you'll never regret it. I never have.

Transferflow makes a skid plate for the tank just like the factory. I love being able to go so far between fill ups
