hey guys, so i’ve town into my 5.0 95 f150 to rebuild my injectors. I pulled the distributor. It has a fairly new cap and button but the actual distributor has 230k miles on it. I also noticed some carbon or oil buildup on the block by the mating area. Truck runs as well as can be expected for that amount of miles. What should I look for on the distributor to decide if I should replace it? Can I rebuild? Thanks

You can put a Motorcraft PIP module in it after marking & driving out the roll pin.
Some can do it without a press, others can't.
I paid less than $20 to have mine done after putting engine to TDC pulling it myself.
You can pull the shutter wheel & clean it with a soft brush or compressed air too.
