99 expedition 4x4 front diff problems

99 expedition 4x4 front diff problems
Weathers finally nice enough to crawl under the expedition n take a look at things, you guys were right this diff is engaged all the time. The problem (or at least on of them lol) i discovered is the drivers side axle shaft literally just falls out of the pumpkin. (Cv shaft bolts to flange, flange goes in pumpkin) only thing holding it from completely falling out is the cv shaft, you can put it back in place and it grabs splines just fine but just slides right back out. If this was a rear diff id say the c clip fell off. Do they have c clips up front too?
