General Engine Question
FWIW from the time I was a sophomore in high school up to now (junior in college) I've been employed at a mechanic shop/tire center as a summer job. Every three weeks I have to take scrap tires from Manassas, VA to Lynchburg in Big Yella, a 1990-something Ford F-700 ex-Ryder truck. 24ft box, 7.0L EFI with an auto trans. Truck sounds beastly with worn out dual glasspacks, especially out on the interstate when I really let er rip!
You all may be hearing from me again - I've offered to fix up Big Yella for my boss as she's been sitting for about a year and a half. The old girl's got sentimental value to me..... I learned to drive in a Honda Civic and one day my boss says "Hey Evan do you have your license? Take the truck down to Lynchburg and drop off these tires"
Figured he was talking about his pickup.... Sometimes ya gotta learn by doing!

Most MDT gas engine will have larger exh manifold than the lighter versions.
You can see this in the exh manifold of a standard 300 six and a HD 300 six (yes they really did exist )
Nearly every car company will also detune engine used in bigger vehicle .
Just look at the HP specs for the 6.7 Ford diesel used in F650/F750s and compare to the same engine in a F250.
The 6.8L V10 in motorhomes are the same way look at the F650 and last year they were in the F250s.
The MDT truck have the gas paedal mashed to the floor and it might stay there 15 mins straight.
