I've jumped into the deep end and installed an air bag suspension on my 53 Ford Pickup which has a FatMan IFS. I am using Posie super sliders leaf springs in the rear and I have installed air bags back there to maintain ride height. Anyway, does anyone have experience with the airbag controller to the point they could make a recommendation regarding what to use or not to use or any useful experiences using the air bags. I went with the Accuair e-level system. Dual compressors and a 5 gallon tank. I did Shockwaves in the front and QA1 shocks in the back with bags in the back. The reasons I went with the bags was that I could not get the stance I wanted with different springs and shocks so the bags seemed to make sense. I had parabolic springs in the back and did not care for the ride, so again the bags seemed to make sense. I am happy with the ride and the ability to adjust the stance. I don't want it on the ground but pretty low when it is just parked.
Like pappacrunch, I recommend the Accuair e-Level air management. I've installed both an Airlift Autopilot Ver1 and an Accuair e-Level systems. The e-Level is by far the best.
