I swear, I think I'd have to have somebody at the state fire marshal's office take a look at that.

As a volunteer firefighter I have gone to many of these early morning surprise fires. In most cases, even the best of fire departments can't save much of the house. I say this based on the final condition of the truck and how close to the bldg it was. You're lucky.
You got a good fire dept.
As said, get the fire marshal involved.
Homeowners ins should cover the damage.
