Tire advice

I have a 96 F150 4x4 with the Factory aluminum rims which I believe were an option that year. Can anyone verify: are they 8 inch rims?

I currently have 31x10.5 tires and am considering putting 32 x 11.5 tires on. Will they fit the rim without any trouble?

Can anyone pass their experiences with the 32 inch tire as far as rubbing is concerened?

I have 32x11.5's Goodyear AT-S on the factory aluminum rims on my Bronco. I always thought the rims were 7.5's but the Goodyear tire machine said they were 8" wide. Tires fit the rims with no problems and fit the Bronco with no modifications. I havn't had them rub at all, even at full lock of steering wheel.

I knew a guy who had 33 inch Goodrich All Terrains on his 93 f150 4x4 with a stock suspension. They rubbed the plastic skirt under the front bumper when he turned.

I have a 95 with the tires you want to install and at almost full turn they rub the plastic and the FRAME. Its a bummer but thats ok got my lifts on and when these wear out I'm installing my 35x12.5's.

Tire advice

My truck originally had P235-75R-15's when I bought it. Extended coils in front and add-a-leafs in the rear gave me 2", which was enough to stuff my 33x12.5's on the factory Ford 15x7 Aluminum Rally style rims. I also spaced out my front bumper about 3/4" and trimmed the corners slightly. Only problem is I rub a little on the control arms at full lock of the wheel. Because it is an Eddie Bauer, it sits lower than a regular F-150 4x4, now I sit about the same height (top of cab) but have a little better ground clearance and traction. I measured for the 32x11.5's and didn't need to lift the truck, but noticed that it would fill my fender wells completely and give no real room for suspension travel. And finally it cost me about the same to lift and put on 33x12.5's as it would have to put the 32x11.5's. Smaller tire, larger price tag, go figure!!
