Glow plug #3 is reasonably easy to get at with only removing a few things. It should be the 2nd one back from the front of the engine on the passenger side.
Being an 04 I am not sure what glow plug power feed you have. As for running with it bad there is not much of an issue. It will start crapy unlit it gets some
heat built up. But I would not put it off too ;oe because you never know what that dead one is going to do.

you should really tell my lead this for real he will not change glow plugs he will not change em out or the harness say there is no need
It starts okay, I am sure getting some new ones in would help out alot. I just want to make sure the tip isn't going to break off or anything and do some major damage.
I've got the early style glow plug bus bars, do you use the same tool as 04.5-07 to pull them? Are they known for breaking like the newer ones?
You dont say where you are, I am in Florida and I never wait on the glow plugs with no issue. Like others have said, if it starts, then I wouldn't spend to much brain power or money on it....
