UPDATE:

had some time today.since iam putting the tank in rear decided to get patch panel n fill where the filler neck use to be.also has alittle rot on driverside cowl.started repairing that to.

Disassembled the front suspension to get ready for the new mustang II ifs.

Someone cut out the old trans cross mount.should i weld something else in its place?or will the new tubular trans cross mount be fine?

That cross member is important and you still have enough of it to bolt one in. Without that cross member your frame will twist with the weight of the cab and when you step on the running boards..I cut mine out for easier access when removing the transmission and this works like a charm..

thanks for the reply.i assumed it was important. Is there any write ups on how to modify it like yours or pictures installed?

There's a few pics in my build thread but not much of a write up. It was fairly simple to do..

UPDATE;

installed the mustang II front end today. Was a pain cause the frame was tweaked a bit.used some straps to bring the frame in.all good now.

Idk how bad this might b but...I had the crossmember set at 2 degree rake but after welding it's gone to 0 degree.

If it's level at the rake you have the truck set for you're good, everything should be engineered in the cross member

I had the truck frame at 0 and they wanted the crossmember set to 2 degrees.now it's all at 0.idk if this will throw off suspension or not.guess I'll put it together and cycle suspension.
